Teagan {diy T/Simply Said}

The difficulty in finding a way to add your child's name to their room some way other than the "typical" wood letters... Blah. Parker got his empty frame initial art for his "name" which fit his room perfectly. Very square, very simple, very bright. Teagans room has been a task for me. I've changed it 3 times so far and this time (the 4th) seems to be THE ONE. I am absolutely loving it. I have a few more things to do before it's finished but it's coming along, so the BIG reveal is probably a few weeks away! Which I am VERY excited about. And Parker's room "redo" will be revealed at the same time because his room has changed quite a bit also. Anyways... back to the point of this post. Teagans name. No block/wood letters. Too typical. Too boring. And way TOO overused. Here is Teagans name:

What I did: I bought a large piece of poster board and Lala (Laura) cut out a T for me. It wasn't straight or perfect, I just needed something in the shape of a T to apply the flowers to. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought the prettiest, fullest flowers I could find. I bought ones with depth and different tones of purples. You need to buy the expensive flowers to pull this off. The cheap ones end up looking like complete shit. Just sayin'. As for the "eagan". I turned back to my trusty Simply Said Consultant, Cassie Grubbs to make a custom design. Seriously, contact Cassie for wall art. She can create magic with adhesive vinyl! I applied the "eagan" and added the T with double sided mounting tape.

I love the outcome and think it will add character to T's room! Cannot wait until I have a finished room to share!
